Tanahu court has remanded the suspected attackers of the Post correspondent Sudip Kaini to six days investigative custody.
Kaini was attacked by a gang at Anbu Khaireni in Tanahu on Monday, in course of following a news story about illegal sand extraction going on in the Marsyangdi river.
Police in Abu Khaireni arrested five suspects on Monday itself.
They have been transported to the district headquarters Damauli for investigation, said Inspector Lok Bahadur Gurung of Area Police Office, Anbu Khaireni.
Federation of Nepali Journalists, Gorkha, had lodged a case against the suspects, all Anbu Khaireni locals, charging them of assaulting Kaini and damaging his camera and mobile phone.
