CPN (Maoist Centre) Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal has said that the party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal does not share any special relationship with the controversial businessman Ajeya Raj Sumargi.

Speaking at an interaction organised at the Reporters’ Club in the Capital on Thursday, the Maoist Centre spokesperson made it clear that Sumargi is not under the protection of Dahal.

She also said that government should carry out a fair investigation into Sumargi’s property. “If Sumargi has amassed property illegally, government should investigate into it and find out the truth,” she said, adding, “Our party is not in the government right now. Government has various bodies to investigate such cases. There is Department of Money Laundering Investigation and they should find out the truth. So far, media has exposed Sumargi’s activities, now the government should act on it.”
