“The exaggerated information given to the Interpol has insulted the people’s verdict and the party draws the government’s attention to stop these sorts of activities against the newly elected member of the Parliament that are motivated by prejudice and revenge,” the CPN-UML stated in a statement issued after a meeting on Monday.
Silwal was elected as federal parliament member from Lalitpur-1 parliamentary constituency on CPN-UML ticket.
On a different note, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, during the meeting, briefed the leaders about the progress regarding the party unification with the CPN (Maoist Centre).
Saying that the party unification process is moving ahead in a positive direction, Chairman Oli directed the party leaders to work in such a way that does not hamper the party unification process.
Meanwhile, the meeting has endorsed the report of the task force formed to allocate the seat for the National Assembly (NA) election.
