Chief Justice Gopal Prasad Parajuli administered the oath of office and secrecy to Nahakul Subedi, Udaya Prasad Chapagain, Yagya Basyal and Hari Kumar Pokharel amid a programme organised at the Supreme Court this afternoon.
The Judicial Council on January 4 had recommended the names of four chief judges for different high courts.
As per the provision, Chief Justice appoints the chief judges on the recommendation of Judicial Council.
Subedi has been appointed as the chief judge of Tulsipur High Court, Chapagain as the chief judge of Janakpur High Court, Basyal to head the Dipayal High Court and Pokhrel to lead the Surkhet High Court.
