Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu on Saturday, leader Acharya said that the nomination of Chief Ministers will be done against group politics. “Just like Sankhar Pokharel is named the chief minister of Province 5 with consensus, same will be done in remaining provinces,” he said.
Claiming that there was no group influence in nominating candidates for local, provincial and federal parliament elections in his party, he said, “Chief Ministers will be picked based on capability, qualification and experience.”
“The baseless accusations that are surfacing in social media about selling tickets to leaders do not need clarification,” he said, “I don’t believe in unnecessary promotion.”
Acharya said that UML has already taken actions against those leaders charged with indulging in financial misappropriation while giving local level election tickets.
