Jan 30, 2018-
CPN-UML publicity department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai has made it clear that the proposed unification between CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) can’t be defined as surrender. He added that the two parties will dissolve to become one by accepting each other’s existence.
Speaking at a press conference organised by Press Chautari Sunsari Chapter in Dharan on Tuesday, leader Bhattarai said that the party will be unified with the formation of a new government, remarking that the unification will be done officially after making the party policy uniform, ideology and structural framework of the organisation.
“Don’t think of taking a daring move to separate the left alliance over the leadership issue,” Secretary Bhattarai warned, adding, “The issue of leadership will be ironed out after the unification of the two parties.”
He said that the Madhes-centric parties would be taken on board the new government of left alliance.
Saying that there is a tradition all over the world that the new government should be formed a day after the parliamentary election, Leader Bhattarai accused the Nepali Congress-led government of sticking to the power under different pretexts by not handing over the leadership.
He said that the caretaker government has made a mockery of democratic norms, claiming that a question and a doubt over the Election Commission and the Prime Minister have aroused together.
Moreover, Bhattarai said that the appointments and wrong decisions made by the incumbent government will be scrapped by the new government.
