The meeting held at party office in Dhumbarahi on Tuesday decided to pick its chief ministers and ministers after the National Assembly (NA) election, leader Shankar Pokharel informed.
The UML has to choose chief ministers and speakers in four provinces and deputy speakers in two provinces.
Though leader Pokharel has already been chosen as the parliamentary leader in Province 5, the party has been facing problems after more than one leader staked claims for the post of chief ministers in other provinces.
According to an agreement of left alliance, the CPN (Maoist Centre) will get two chief ministers and two speakers. The government under the leadership of left alliance will be formed in provinces1, 5 and 7.
The meeting has decided to conduct orientation for NA election. The NA election has been scheduled on February 7.
The meeting has also decided that a new government would not ownership for the recent decisions taken by the incumbent government, leader Pokharel informed.
Party chairman KP Sharma Oli, senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal among others leaders were present in the meeting.
Meanwhile, the party has directed its NA election voters not to leave the country and provinces until the election is held.
