National cricket team captain Paras Khadka and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong won the NNIPA Player of the Year Award on Monday.

Khadka and Chemjong were two of the 35 players honoured by the Nepal National and International Players Association (NNIPA). Weightlifting coach late Sunil Lal Joshi was presented with the Gajaraj Joshi Ideal Sports Award and journalist Shyam Chitrakar with the Sports Journalism Award. Pratibha Mali (volleyball), Parsuram Bastola (karate), Syantu Shrestha (table tennis), Asmita Rai (shooting), Sunil Thapa (boxing),  Dinesh Thapa (weightlifting), Mayanka Rana (tennis), Bijay Kumar Chand (kabbadi) and Pradip Khatri (soft tennis) were other winners.

Uma Rai (handball), Rajesh Magar (cycling), Pradip Rajbanshi (hockey), Madan Kayastha (chess), Aarhant K Singh (squash), Ratnajit Tamang (badminton), Sudish Pradhan (basketball), Sushmi Shrestha (karate),  Tulasha Rajthala (ITF), Anil Gurung (sepak takraw), Dil Kumari Tamang (kho kho), Mahesh-war Maharjan (bodybuilding), Dipak Magar (snooker), Rejina Karki (taekwondo), Nima Gharti Magar (wushu), Phupu Lhamu Khatri (judo), Prem Prasad Pun (archery), Sirish Gurung (swimming), Kanchhi Maya Koju (athletics), Sandip Lama (fencing), Sukra Bahadur Rai (golf), Basanta Tharu (triathlon) and Saroj Yadav (wrestling) completed the award lists.
