Three Indian men have been arrested in possession of firearms from Rautahat on Tuesday.
Madan Kushwaha, of Harser Grampanchayat-1 in Mujpharpur district, Bihar, Dinesh Prasad Kushwaha, of Madhopur, Ghosaut Grampanchayat-1, and Ajay Prasad Kushwaha, of Gadaye, Manir Grampanchayat-2, were arrested with a pistol, a musket and three rounds of bullets used in SLR from a hotel in Gaur, SP Yagya Binod Pokharel, Chief at the District Police Office Rautahat.
Acting on a tip-off, the trio was arrested while they were planning to commit a crime, SP Pokharel added.
The number of criminals entering Nepal from India has been increasing of late due to open border.
