Student essayists awarded
Aayusha Bhattarai and Denisha Chaulagain bagged the first prizes for the Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing and Speech Competition.Aayusha Bhattarai and Denisha Chaulagain bagged the first prizes for the Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing and Speech Competition. The winners were selected from over 1500 Nepali students from Higher Secondary Level (10+2) to University levels.
Bhattarai and Chaulagain were felecitated for their wins at an award ceremony held in the Capital on Wednesday. At the event, other winners—including Smajhuta Bhattarai, Malika Humagain, Rahul Dewan, Aliza Singh Khadka and Bhawana Bhandari—were also awarded for their essays and speeches.
Students who secured first, second and third position at the essay competition (the topic of which was: In today’s world, neighbours are important but neighbourhood is equally important: South Asian perspective) were presented with medals and certificates with a cash purse of Rs 40, 000, Rs 35,000, and 30,000, respectively. The ten other students who made it to the top thirteen received Rs 5,000 each.
Likewise, the top four winners at the speech competition (Topic: Are humans too dependent on information technology?) received Rs 40,000, Rs 35,000, Rs 30,000, and Rs 20,000, respectively. The next ten winners were presented with Rs 5,000 each.
