Taking oath as federal parliament member at Parliament building in Naya -Baneshwor in Kathmandu on Sunday, Silwal said, “I am with citizens and had not gone into hiding. I will now work for the citizens.”
Silwal, who is in the wanted list of Nepal Police for document forgery case, was elected as member of Federal House of Representatives from Lalitpur-1.

On January 2, Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Office had issued an arrest warrant against Silwal for investigation into a document forgery case.
