Police arrest serial killer deported from Qatar
Nepal Police on Sunday arrested Mohammad Sakil Hussein Miyan at Tribhuvan International Airport. Miyan was deported from Qatar. According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Manoj Neupane, spokesperson of Nepal Police, an official from Interpol had deported him to Nepal before handing him over to Nepali authority.
Miyan, who hails from Saptari, is charged with killing seven people. The Interpol had issued red corner notice against Miyan on June 22 2015 following request from Nepal Police.
Miyan had killed his 18-year old wife Sairun Khatun his father-in-law Idris Khalifa Nut and Jaitun Khatun in Sunsari district while Dulari Devi Shah, Nirmala Devi Shah, Sadarul Miyan and Saagira Khatun were killed in Saptari district.
He was presented before Kathmandu District Court on Sunday.
According to police, they had recovered the bodies of Sadarul Miyan and his daughter-in-law Saagira Khatun in a poultry farm near Bisanpur in Saptari.
Police officials said that the Miyan began hatching the murder plot after property disputes with his in-laws.
Following the incident, he had fled to Qatar through India and was working as a laborer for last two years.
Police were tipped about Miyan after his accomplice, Allaudin Miyan, was arrested by Saptari police office in July 2015. In his statement to the police, Allaudin had said that Miyan had fled to Qatar.
