Japan’s PM Abe congratulates Prez Bhandari

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has congratulated President Bidya Devi Bhandari on her re-assumption of office as the head of state.
In his message on Tuesday, Prime Minister Abe has mentioned that Japan welcomes Nepal’s progress towards consolidating democracy following the first elections of the Federal Parliament and Provincial Assemblies held last December and this February under the new constitution. The Japanese PM has assured his country’s continued support for Nepal’s efforts to consolidate democracy and to “Build Back Better” from the earthquake disaster. “I look forward to actively cooperating with President Bhandari to further the long-standing friendly ties between our two countries,” PM Abe said in the message.
Chinese Vice Prez Wang felicitates Pun Meanwhile, Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan has extended a message of felicitations to Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun on his re-election to the post. The message was conveyed to Vice President Pun by Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong on Tuesday, according to the VP’s Office. Vice President Pun expressed hope to get continued Chinese support for Nepal’s development endeavours.
