If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
If I was judging this pageant, the characteristics that I would look for choosing the winner would be the ‘3C’: Confidence—within themselves to carry their purpose further. Compassion—the ability to serve selflessly to every mankind. Consistency—to be beautiful not just for a year but for a long time.
If a genie in a bottle could grant you any wish, what would it be?
I would wish for peace and happiness of the Syrian children who are suffering great trauma in their early age.
Are you a team person or a lone wolf?
It depends on what kind of activity or work I have to perform. I am flexible in both aspects. I have experiences in life where I’ve worked as a team member and have done tremendous work. I have also worked alone and conquered it.
What part of your culture are you most and least proud of?
I am most proud of Dashain and Tihar as it brings everyone together once a year to receive the blessings of our elders and it brings joy in everyone’s family. The culture that I am least proud of is Chaupadi, which is still practiced in different places of Nepal.
What do you wish people would stop asking you?
How much do you eat in a day? I eat a lot but I also have a very high metabolism.

If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
Leadership qualities, compassion, knowledge in her chosen field of study, willingness to help people.
What career path have you chosen? Why?
Law and healthcare policies. I believe that health care should be a civil right if not a human right. I want to help implement public health policies to improve quality of life for citizens. I believe access to health care is a must in the 21st century.
What achievement are you proud of but most people would consider silly or weird?
Completing my University. Most people would think this is a common achievement that everyone makes, but my story is different. I self financed my education and housing expenses. I became financially independent at the age of 18. This is why my university degree is an achievement that I am proud of.
What do you wish people would stop asking you?
Are you a Nepali?
What’s something horrible that we as humans have accepted, because that’s just how things are?
The Palestine and Israel conflict, the illegal occupation of Palestinian land by Israel.

If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
I would firstly look for how responsible and experienced she is. She has to have the ability to spread calmness and positive energy, no matter what the situation is. Furthermore, she has to be able to handle any kind of situation appropriately.
If a genie in a bottle could grant you any wish, what would it be?
It would be to plant love and understanding in each and every citizen on earth. I believe that the ability to understand what others are trying to say will end all sorts of war on earth. Indeed, love and understanding together can do miracles.
What career path have you chosen? Why?
I have chosen Nursing as my career and I aspire to become a medical doctor in few years. This is because, for me there is no other accomplishment more rewarding than being able to work as a team and make huge impact in people’s lives when they are most vulnerable or even very close to death.
Are you a talker or a listener?
I am definitely a listener. I am the kind of person who would want to listen properly and understand what the person is trying to say before I put my views.
What achievement are you proud of but most people would consider silly or weird?
Self-control. I don’t think there is anything, which I have achieved that would seem silly to others.
Anashrut Pant

If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
I would look for a contestant who is quick at thinking with wise knowledge, humble nature and a charming personality.
What career path have you chosen? Why?
I am currently an undergraduate student studying BBA but I also want to foray my studies in law school. I see myself as an advocate for women and children by being a social entrepreneur.
What period in history had the best fashion?
I think fashion is a constant cycle of redoing what has been already done. So for me this year of fashion is the best time as it has the mixture of cool 90’s vibes with sleek classy addition.
What fact are you really surprised that more people don’t know about?
I am really surprised that people don’t know about importance of mental health, people take depression, anxiety as mental illness rather than state of mind. I think today’s world should have knowledge of mental health.
What random stranger has had the biggest impact on your life?
I had a scooter accident and a random person just helped me go to the hospital, called my parents, stayed till my parents were there for me. That random act of kindness has given me the biggest impact of my life.
