If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
If I were one of the judges for this pageant, I would
look for presentation, spontaneity, stage presence,
intelligence, determination and most importantly, focus. The winner should be goal oriented and should have that character to bare the responsibilities of the title with grace and composure.
What career path have you chosen? Why?
I am an actor by profession. Ever since a child, I have dreamt of being an actor, I think acting gives meaning to me. I am fulfilled when playing different roles in order to relay a message that needs to be heard. Roles pertaining to social issues are the most challenging as well as fulfilling to me.
Do you believe in gut feelings?
I believe in gut feelings. I lived in Spain for five years. I had found it difficult to choose between living abroad or returning home to be part of the Nepali film industry. Life is unpredictable and I feel my gut feelings have always helped me to come out from my comfort zone and take risks, which is the only reason I am standing before you. Now I am here in Nepal acting in movies and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
What achievement are you proud of but most people would consider silly or weird?
I am proud of my first movie song ‘Abala’, many people found my decision to start my career with an item song silly but I am proud of my achievement.
What do you wish people would stop asking you?
How is the movie industry treating you?

If I were judging this pageant, I would choose the winner based on their intelligence, confidence, talent, strength of character, way of presentation, positive attitude, and communication skills.
What career path have you chosen? Why?
I chose to be a business woman and a social worker because I want to reduce employment problem and I care about helping the poor and those most in need of assistance.
Are you a talker or a listener?
I love to listen more and talk less so I am probably more of a listener. I believe in doing, rather than talking about it because even if you ‘talk the talk’, your actions will determine people’s trust in you.
Name two personal habits that have helped you grow in life?
Self-confidence and my fluency in the Nepali language.
What achievement are you proud of but most people would consider silly or weird?
When I began to teach dance by opening my own dance academy, people considered it silly and weird. This was because people from my area were narrow-minded and believed that dancing was not appropriate for the female gender. However, I feel proud that I have surpassed that notion and that I have achieved something by teaching dance.

Would you rather run a business and contribute to the economy or run the
country altogether?
I always wanted to contribute to my country. So, I had made my mind to join the army after the completion of my Bachelors in the technical department so that I could introduce new and advanced ideas and promote the participation of women in male dominated fields.
What period in history had the best fashion?
I love the fashion of the 1980s. The whole decade was so colourful and I am glad those previous trends have made a fashionable comeback today.

I wish people would stop asking me about my height.
What’s something horrible that we as humans have accepted, because that’s just how things are?
Depending on a certain person or people for our own well being can be a crutch but it can also be an impediment as it can stop you from growing by pushing your own limits. In the end we are going to die alone and so should also learn to cherish solitude when journeying through life.

If you were judging this pageant, what characteristics would you look for when choosing the winner?
If I were judging this pageant, I’d look for a girl with elegance and poise even when under fire. The winner should have a great personality and good communication skills and of course, that ineffable, ‘x-factor’ that makes her standout in a crowd.
Are you a team person or a lone wolf?
I am a team person. I believe in the power of team work partly because of my profession. As a nurse, we work as a team when tending to patients, as a family member we work as a team to maintain peace and harmony and as a Nepali citizens we need to come together and work as a team to make a difference in society.
Do you believe in gut feelings?
Yes! I came from overseas just for the audition of Miss Nepal because I had this strong feeling that I needed to do this

Removing toxic people and their negativity out of my life immediately after I realise they’re reflecting negative vibes and acknowledging and appreciating those people who love and support me.

Do you believe in gut feelings?
Yes, I do! Sometimes you have to trust your instincts. I’ve had a lot of times when
I followed my instinct and they ended up being the best decisions. For example,
I could have applied for Miss Nepal in the past years too but for some reason
I didn’t feel like the time was right, but this year, I had this feeling that I should go for it and here I am, more confident than ever. I strongly believe that this year is my year and if I work hard for it, the crown is for the taking.
What’s the worst and best thing about being a woman?
I don’t think there is anything ‘worst’ about being a woman. I am a woman and that in itself is the best thing! I can only be thankful for being born as I am.
What period in history had the best fashion?
It’s right now! We are free to adopt our own style, regardless of which era it was from. As long as you are confidently carrying it, your style is your statement.
What’s something horrible that we as humans have accepted, because that’s just how things are?
We have easily accepted the numerous wars and countless deaths that take place
in the world. Just because it’s not happening where you live, doesn’t make the fact that even little children die a violent death… any better.
