The newly appointed chiefs of the Nepal Police  and the Armed Police Force received their rank insignias at the Home Ministry on Thursday. Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai conferred the insignias on Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal and the APF Inspector General Shailendra Khanal, who were promoted to the top posts by a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Outgoing IG of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal and IG of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha retired on Wednesday after completing 30 of years service period.
