UML, Maoist Centre chairmen given responsibility to resolve differences

The CPN-UML, CPN (Maoist Centre) party unification coordination committee has given the responsibility to the chairmen of both parties to resolve the differences regarding party unification.

CPN (MC) leader Narayankaji Shrestha informed that the party unification coordination committee (PUCC) meeting held at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar on Tuesday gave the responsibility to resolve three contentious issues regarding party unification to UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (MC) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

“The chairmen of both the party have been given the responsibility to amend the two reports presented by the task force and resolve the contentious issues,” said leader Shrestha.

There has been disagreement between UML and CPN (MC) regarding election symbol, number of members in the central committee and the use of the word “people’s war’ in the party statute of the unified party.
