The Oppo F7 aims to take smartphone technology to new heights.
The phone features improved AI technology for selfie photography, super full screen for an immersive viewing experience and upgraded multi-tasking software. It is priced at Rs36,590 for the 64GB variant and Rs46,590 for the 128GB variant. Customers can choose from three colour options, solar red, moonlight silver and diamond black.
The main standout feature of the Oppo F7 is the 25MP front camera with real-time high dynamic range (HDR) sensor. The company boasts that photos taken with the F7 will have a lot more “information”—a higher range of details, luminance and colour levels when shot in bright sunlight or the shade—similar to images taken with professional digital cameras. The HDR images is further enhanced by the AI Beauty 2.0 feature with its ability to make improved age and gender beautification effects. This should give customers who take mostly selfies a big reason to cheer.
Oppo first introduced the AI Beauty recognition technology on their popular F5 smartphone and has improved it further on the F7. The second generation AI Beauty 2.0 aims to push the envelope on selfie photography even more. According to the company, they included more accurate facial recognition capabilities, better beautification effects for gender and age along with self-learning capabilities based on user preferences.
The AI Beauty 2.0 technology achieves all of this by scanning 296 facial recognition points—a 20 percent improvement from the first generation technology—for a more precise and accurate facial recognition capability. Other features are also built into the F7 such as ‘Vivid mode’ which enhances the colour saturation of a selfie and AR (Augumented Reality) stickers that allows users to have fun with selfies by adding cute animal or movie star features into the image.
CEO of Oppo Nepal, Bobby Zhao said, “We are more than overwhelmed with the warm welcome for our latest smartphone, the F7. We are extremely hopeful that we will be able to address the needs and wants of our Nepali customers through this device.”
The F7 also comes with an improved 6.23-inch FHD+ screen with 19:9 aspect ratio to give a colourful, vivid and immersive visual experience. The large screen will also fit perfectly in the palm of your hands, states the press release. The company claims that the Oppo F7 is one of the first smartphones to have a customised 19:9 aspect ratio. This is achieved by incorporating a notch, which houses the front camera, brand new antenna and light sensor.
Multitasking on the Oppo F7 will be a breeze thanks to its “App-in-app” feature and full screen multitasking. It is the first phone in the industry that allows users to use gestures to navigate between apps, states the release.
Customers will appreciate the attention to detail that Oppo has given to the F7. The fit and finish on the smartphone sets new standards in precision and materials engineering, with every detail carefully considered by Oppo designers. Users will have three different colour options to suit their personality—Solar Red, Moonlight Silver and Diamond Black.
The F7 runs Android 8.1 on the latest octa-core processor. Oppo has incorporated AI into their software for better systems management.
