Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Girirajmani Pokharel, has directed the private schools to not charge additional fee against the fee determined by the government.

Talking to media persons in Bhaktapur on Friday, Minister Pokharel directed the schools to not charge extra fee, adding that complaints that schools have been charging additional fee in a monopolistic manner have increased.

He said that the Ministry has asked the local levels to control the school fee hike immediately and added that the government was committed to take action against those schools turning deaf ears to this directive.

The Education Minister directed the schools to not make students stay in line to welcome dignitaries visiting the schools or village, saying it was a wrong trend. RSS
