NC’s Central Performance Committee, Parliamentary Committee dissolved
The Nepali Congress has dissolved its Central Performance Committee and the Parliamentary Committee, which were formed against the party statute by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.The Nepali Congress has dissolved its Central Performance Committee (CPC) and the Parliamentary Committee (PC), which were formed against the party statute by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
NC President Deuba announced the dissolution of the CPC and PC during the meeting of central working committee (CWC) held at party headquarters in Sanepa on Sunday.
NC central leaders had been debating for a long time whether party president should take the responsibility for the election debacle on moral grounds or not and whether the two committees should be dissolved or not.
NC Senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and former party general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula factions had been demanding the party president take the moral responsibility regarding the election fiasco and dissolve the two committees.
The NC top leaders had agreed on President Deuba announcing the dissolution of the two committees during the CWC meeting without affixing the announcement in the official decision of the party. Likewise, the leaders have also suggested that the party CWC take the moral responsibility for the election debacle after President Deuba refused to do so.
