16th General Convention of ANFA begins in Kathmandu
The 16th General Convention of All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has started in Kathmandu on Saturday. A new leadership of the ANFA will be selected from this General Convention.
Former ANFA Vice-President Karma Tsering Sherpa and ANFA senior Vice-President Mani Kunwar are vying for the post of President.
Organising a press conference in the Capital on Friday, Kunwar, however, had said that he will not contest for the top post of the country’s football governing body claiming it as illegitimate.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kunwar had said that the General Convention is being held against the statute of ANFA.

Though he was seen on the premises of General Convention, he did not take part in the convention.
Out of 77 voters, nine candidates are contesting for the post of four Vice-Presidents in the election.
Altogether 29 candidates have filed nominations for the 11-member executive election.
Pema Lama has already been elected unanimously as a female member.
