Nepali writers in Dhaka
A group of Nepali writers and poets took part at a literary and cultural interaction programme in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Organised by the Bangladesh-Nepal Friendship Society, the event saw Nepali authors such as Nagendra Raj Sharma, Manjul, Susmita Nepal, Kusumakar Neupane, Pushpa Khanal, Mohan Chapagain, Navaraj Pudasainee and Saraswati Sharma Jiggyasu, and Dhan Bahadur Oli, among others, recite their works at the event.A group of Nepali writers and poets took part at a literary and cultural interaction programme in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event was presided by the deputy speaker of the Bangladeshi parliament, Md. Fazle Rabbi Miah and the Nepali ambassador to Bangladesh Choplal Bhusal.
Miah, addressing the participants, said that literature and culture have provided the foundation for the age-old diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
While Bhusal said that since the two countries share so many similarities between them, he feels completely at home in Bangladesh.
The event also saw the unveiling of a music video Yo Aankha ko Panilai, directed by Puspa Khanal.
