NSJF rope in Ghorahi Cement as new partner

As per the deal Ghorahi, the producer of Sagarmatha Cement, will provide Rs 200,000 to the organisers of the annual sports award. NSJF President Mahesh Acharya and marketing and communication head of Ghorahi Cement Pratik Adhikari signed the memorandum of Understanding.
Adhikari said that the partnership will be beneficial for both sides and lauded NSJF for organising the event which in the first place should have been conducted by the sports governing authorities. He also expressed commitment for better deal in future. NSJF president Acharya thanked Ghorahi for the sponsorship and said that the program would not have been successful without the support of corporate houses.
The annual sports award will felicitate sportsperson and institutions in various eight categories—player of the year Male and Female, Youth, Coach, People’s Choice, Parathlete, Lifetime Achievement and Special. NSJF announces nominees for Male, Female, Youth, Coach and People’s Choice award categories on the basis of their achievement in the year 2017-18.
The winners of the Lifetime Achievement and Parathlete will be announced directly on the Award day. NSJF has already announced five nominees in the People’s Choice category, while it will soon name the nominees in the other categories as well. The winners of the peoples’ choice award will be decided through sms voting, points allocated by chief coaches of 35 games included in the seventh national games and sports journalists.
The winners of male and female player of the year, coach and people’s choice award will be rewarded with a pulsar motorbike while the winners of remaining four categories will be given Rs 50,000 each in addition to gift hampers.
