May 16, 2018-

Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have agreed to call a meeting of Party Unification Coordination Committee (PUCC) to expedite the unification process.

The PUCC, a month ago, had given the responsibility to the chairmen of both the parties to sort out contentious issues in the report prepared by taskforces regarding the ideology and organizational structure of the unified party.

The PM’s press advisor Kundan Aryal informed that following the meeting of two chairmen held at PM’s residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday, preparations are underway to hold the PUCC meet today evening or on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the CPN-UML has called for the party standing committee meeting at 4pm today in preparation for the unification.
