Speaking to journalists upon his arrival at Biratnagar on Sunday, Dahal said the government should strive for economic development, prosperity and good governance and the presidential system could be discussed before upcoming election.
Dahal also said the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) should complete the pending works related to the peace process. “There were delays and TRC could not perform as expected. Government will extend its tenure so it can complete the remaining tasks of the peace process,” he said.
The former prime minister also said the current rise in market prices is the result of increase of prices in international market.
He also said that they had discussed Rastriya Janata Party Nepal joining the incumbent government and will hold another discussion for the same. He also acknowledged holding discussions on unification with Sanghiya Samajbadi Forum Nepal but ruled out any possibility of unification happening anytime soon.
