All the businessmen of the district under the leadership of Ramechhape Udhyog Banijaya Sangh organised a rally tying black band on their head on Tuesday. The traders carrying banners and placards demanded revision of the SC’s order.
They have also made public a week-long protest programmes to pile pressure on the government to resolve the problem.
The traders said that they would shut down their business, transport goods on motorbikes, encircle bazaar areas carrying goods and organise whistle rally on June 16.
With the order issued by Supreme Court Justice Sapana Malla on June 4, supply of petroleum products and construction materials to Ramechhap, Dolakha, Okhaldhunga and Singhuli via Tarai have been obstructed. There is no alternative route to join Hills from Tarai.
Meanwhile, Province Assembly lawmakers have said that the order of Supreme Court has created problem to supply goods and the people have been facing problem to travel from one place to another.
Lawmakers of Singhuli, Ramechhap, Dolakha and Kavre jointly signed a document and decided to urge the SC to think about the problem seriously and issue the order.
The SC said that it would look the issue in the third week of June.
