Radio on Wheels rolls into Jhapa
Jun 13, 2018-The second iteration of Radio Kantipur’s campaign Radio on Wheels rolled into Jhapa, on Monday. The two-week long campaign was kickstarted from Birtamode and Damak on its inaugural day.
“It’s part of our approach to reach out to our audiences in the country’s new political set up. We will also be broadcasting live via Facebook,” Dinesh DC, station manager of Radio Kantipur, said. Accompanying the Radio Kantipur team on tour will be artists Pratap Das, Kamal Khatri, Mandavi Tripathi, and caricature artist and radio presenter Asish Thakur. During the tour, the team will also run live programmes in local languages. “We will be interacting with the local people in their own language as well as in Nepali, so that they can better identify with the programme,” DC said.
Established in 1998 with a three-hour slot in the national portal of Radio Nepal, Radio Kantipur today is broadcast live in all provinces.
