Students burn PM’s effigy in Surkhet, some injured in clash with police

The clash ensued after the police intervened the demonstration organised by the students to protest the fuel price hike.
The police recklessly started attacking the students after they burnt the effigy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Birendra Chok at around 5 pm today.
NSU central member Anil Shahi and leader Gautam BC were injured in the incident. Police have arrested another central member Hari Sharma.
A police team under the command of Inspector Shankar Shrestha also arrested some students from the party office in Hatiyaline.
Police personnel later walked out of the party office after party president Kamal Raj Regmi and leader Bishnu Bahadur Khadka among others attacked the security personnel in retaliation.
