The Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ on Friday said the leaders aim to prepare a base for socialism via prosperity along with social justice after the unification of the parties.
Addressing a joint meeting of the Press Chautari and Press Centre Nepal in the capital, the former prime minister said that the party unification had given international vibes and it should be internalised firmly to prepare a new base for socialism.
“21st century is era of information. The revolution in the field of information technology should be understood well and the media should play roles to disseminate it to the people in a right manner,” the CPN Chairman added.
He added, “We have agreed to reach the target of socialism by mending our political course and revising the thoughts through the new base of unity along with debate, struggles and transformation.”
Prachanda said party headquarters should be made powerful, and not allow multiple power centres.
Stating that the communism collapsed in the Eastern Europe and erstwhile USSR due to the trend of being master once the communist reached the power, he suggested the communists should link to the people with critical mind.
