Two die in Okhaldhunga jeep accident

Two people were killed leaving three others seriously injured when a jeep fell off the road at Sunkoshi Rural Municipality in Okhaldhunga district on Wednesday.

According to Sunkoshi Rural Municipality Chief Rudra Adhikari, the ill-fated jeep (Ba 15 Cha 8843), en route to Okhaldhunga headquarters from Mulkharka, fell some 300 metres down the road at Chanam Bhaldip.

DSP Ananta Ram Sharma informed that a team of police personnel under an Inspector was deployed soon after receiving the report of the incident adding that the injured have been rescued and sent to Okhaldhunga Community Missions Hospital for further medical treatment.

As per the eye-witness account, the jeep was parked as some of the passengers were having their meal at a local shop when all of a sudden it started moving and fell off the road.
