Stage set for Kathmandu Post Education Fair

The fair will have participation of 110 domestic and international academic institutions under a single roof where students can get education and career counselling from the representatives of various colleges and universities.
Forty colleges and universities from Nepal and 70 from countries like India, Bangladesh, Australia and the United States of America are participating in the fair this year.
Edu Con does not only showcase the services and products of different colleges and universities, but also offer career and education counselling to students, according to the organisers.
Besides, the fair will also host presentations on various topics by renowned figures. The three-day event will be inaugurated by Chandra Mani Poudel, the chairman of National Examinations Board.
“Nepali students will have choice of choosing competitive education institutions from Nepal and abroad during this event. Not only the students, but faculties and colleges also will get a first-hand information about the global education system and practices from this event,” said Mahesh Swar, assistant general manager of Kantipur Publications.
The fair will also have scholarship scheme and daily lucky draw.
The British College is the main sponsor of the fair, which is managed by Rise Events. The organisers are expecting footfalls of over 50,000 visitors.
