The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has written to all the ministers to cancel the political appointments made by the Deuba administration effective from Friday. On Wednesday, the KP Sharma Oli-led government revoked all the political appointments made by the Deuba government after August 30, 2017.
According to PMO sources, all the ministries have been directed to issue cancellation letters to the appointees and submit the names of the officials to be sacked.

Those appointed by the Cabinet would be removed by the PMO while the appointments made by the ministries will be nixed by the ministries themselves.
The process to cancel such appointments has started, the official added.
