Police arrested 32 human rights activists from outside Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwater, Kathmandu on Saturday. The rights activists were arrested during a protest organised by Human Rights and Peace Society (HRPS) against the government’s anti-freedom policy and undemocratic decisions.
The arrested human rights activists were detained at Metropolitan Police Circle Anamnagar. HRPS founding president Krishna Pahadi, members Krishna Kandel, Gangadhar Adhikari, General Secretary Uttam Pudasaini, Homkanta Chaulagain, Anjana Aryal, Laxmi Pudasaini, and Batu Krishna Dhungel, among others were arrested.
