Police have arrested three persons with a huge cache of controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Gadan Bridge along the Inarua-Duhabi road section in Sunsari on Monday.

According to the police, the arrested individuals have been identified as Satya Narayan Mehata, 22, of Babiya, Inaruwa Municipality-9, Sajit Ansari, 18, of Devagunj Rural Municipality-2, and Narayan Meheta, 21, of Devagunj Rural Municipality-7.

Police have recovered 2,786 Spasmo-proxyvon capsules, 45 bottles of Corex DX, 320 strips of Nitrosun, three mobile sets and a motorcycle, said District Police Office DSP Narayan Chimoriya.

DSP Chimoriya said the trio was found possessing the controlled drugs during a security check as they were heading towards Inaruwa on the motorcycle (Ko 22 Pa 5648). Police have been preparing to prosecute them under drug smuggling charges.
