Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday remarked that false rumours have been spread against the government.Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday remarked that false rumours have been spread against the government.
In a meeting with NCP leaders and cadres at party headquarters in Dhumbarahi on Tuesday, Oli directed the party rank and file to protest such rumours.
“The opponents, who are aware that the government will fulfil the aspirations of the people, have been spreading the rumour against the government to stymie the social justice,” said PM Oli. He said the government is steadfast to fulfil the responsibility given to it.
Oli said that he will not be distracted from the commitment to bring good-governance in the country. He made it clear that the government won’t make decisions under pressure from anybody. “The government works according to the constitution, rule and law. The government can’t fulfil random demands and can’t bow down under pressure from anyone,” said PM Oli. Saying that the objectives of his government are different from that of the previous government, PM Oli said the government is striving to bring the country in order.
PM Oli noted it would not be possible to achieve prosperity within a few months and called on the people to be patient. He went on to say that the government is working to bring the system in order that was spoilt by the previous government.
“The previous Nepali Congress-led government made arbitrary appointments after the election code of conduct came into effect, and delayed in handing over government leadership for three months even after the election results were out,” said Oli.
Meanwhile, the opposition Nepali Congress has announced protest programmes on Tuesday.
