A Nepal Army helicopter has reached Jumla from Nepalgunj to bring the agitating doctor. With the unfolding of recent events, Nepal Police have cordoned off the hospital premises with large number of security personnel.
On Wednesday, an emergency secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) decided to take steps necessary to save the life of Dr Govinda KC as his health condition has reached a “critical” stage due to the hunger strike.
Meanwhile, Dr KC has said that he will not go to Kathmandu at any cost.
“If the government is worried and sensitive about my health then it should work towards addressing the demands. The government is trying to kidnap me and take me to Kathmandu to foil our campaign,” said Dr KC, “Fulfill the demands; I will end my hunger strike.”
Likewise, Dr KC said that he will continue his agitation at the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences.
“No one can violate my rights,” said Dr KC, “I am satisfied in the way the doctors here in Jumla are treating me.”
