Actor and artistic director of Theatre Mall, Kedar Shrestha, has performed a solo play at the Pumashi Performing Arts Festival 2018, in South Korea.

Titled Mr Moon, Ms Sun and Mrs Crow, the play is written and directed by Shrestha himself. The play, based on a Korean folklore, was prepared under the supervision of Song Inhyun, director of the fest.

The play was staged twice at the recently-concluded fest and will also be staged at the upcoming Assitej Korea International Summer Festival.

“Mr Moon, Ms Sun and Mrs Crow was staged by molding it to a Nepali context,” actor Shrestha said. “Originally the play was titled Mr Moon and Ms Sun, but we added Mrs Crow for the bird is considered a harbinger of good news in Nepali culture… we’ve also weaved a Nepali folk song into the interplay.”
