2 women held with 3.6 kg gold from TIA

Police have apprehended two women in possession of 3.6 kg from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the Capital on Tuesday afternoon.
According to TIA DIG Kamal GT, the duo had landed at the TIA from Thailand. He said they were carrying the gold in the form of belt buckle, necklace and key. The duo has not revealed the owner of the precious yellow metal.
The TIA customs office had earlier arrested three persons of the same group on the charge of smuggling gold.
Earlier on Monday, an Indian man was arrested with 3.36 kg gold from TIA.
