The workshop is conducted every Saturday for six months.
Organised by School Theatre Nepal, the workshop “aims to hone the skills of budding actors and act as a bridge to step onto the theatre and cinema world.” The workshop, however, organisers said, will not focus only on the children’s acting skills but on their overall personality.
The workshop is mentored by a team of theatre practitioners Tanka Chaulagain, Prakesh Sindhuliya and Chudamani Phuyal.
The organisers recently staged a children’s play Heroes Don’t Come at the newly-established Kunja Theatre and plan to take the play to international festivals as well.
Likewise, an acting competition is also on the pipeline which will ultimately culminate in a reality show, according to the organisers.
