One killed, three injured in Bhaktapur car crash
A person died and three others injured in a car accident at Madhyapur Thimi-4 on Wednesday, Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur said. Car driver Ramesh Raj Raut, 47, of Sindhuli died when the private car (Ba 3 Cha 8317) heading towards Bhaktapur from Kathmandu crashed into a concrete road divider at Thimi.A person died and three others injured in a car accident at Madhyapur Thimi-4 on Wednesday, Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur said. Critically injured Raut was rushed to Nagarik Community Teaching Hospital Gathhaghar, where he died during the course of treatment, said DSP Rewatiraman Pokharel. Raut is a temporary resident of Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur.
Rabin Raut, 18, travelling in the ill-fated car, was injured in the accident and has been receiving medical attention at Madhyapur Hospital.
Likewise, another two persons were injured when a motorbike (Ba 46 Pa 1552) they were riding on rammed into the crashed car. Bishnu Bahadur Shrestha, and Rajan Shrestha of Khandadevi, Ramechhap were injured and have been undergoing treatment at Nagarik Community Hospital, police said.
Police have suspected the driver might have been under the influence of alcohol leading to the accident.
