Talks between Govt, Dr KC’s team fail

Talks between government team and representatives of Dr Govinda KC failed to make headway on Wednesday after the later walked out of the negotiating table. Coordinator of Dr KC’s representatives, Dr Abhishek Raj Singh, said they have decided not to sit for next round of dialogue as the government continued to remain indifferent to the demands of agitating doctor.

In a statement on Wednesday, Dr KC’s representatives made it clear that they will come for next meeting only after the government pledges to endorse the medical education bill with revision as per the demands of Dr KC.

After a hiatus of few weeks, the government team and representatives of Dr Govinda KC held talks which was said to be positive. Dr KC’s hunger strike marked 26th day on Wednesday.
