Electing to bat first, Nepal posted a mammoth 338-8 in 50 overs after Anil struck a magnificent 131 from 118 deliveries.
Retiring veteran left arm spinner Shakti Gauchan then picked up four wickets as East London were bundled out for just 115 runs in 38.5 overs. Darren Ironside (38) and Akash Raji (27) were the only East London batsmen to offer brief resistance.
Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Karan KC also took two wickets each for Nepal. Earlier, Nepal were reduced to 58-3 in 11 overs before Anil put the team in command with a solid 212-run partnership for the fourth wicket with Sharad.
Anil struck 19 fours and three sixes, while Sharad fell two runs short of a century. Sharad’s 86-ball gritty innings studded with six fours and as many sixes. Arshlan Khan took three wickets for the local side. (PR)
