The Army club overcame Rautahat 3-1 and APF defeated departmental rivals Nepal Police Club (NPC) 2-0 as both the winners garnered maximum nine points each in the five-team tournament.
APF leads the standings by the virtue of scoring more goals than the TAC. A draw over Army in the last league match on Tuesday will be sufficient for APF to clinch championship while Army must beat APF to lift the trophy.
Rautahat, who bowed out with six points, with two wins and as many defeats confirmed third place finish. NPC and Kathmandu, who are set to play their last match on Tuesday, are yet to open their accounts.
Sharmila Thapa scored a brace while Dipa Rai added the another for TAC. Rashmi Kumari Ghising pulled one back for Rautahat. In the other match of the day, Anita KC and Saru Limbu scored in APF’s win over NPC. The champions will earn Rs 200,000 and the runner-up will get 10,0000.
