He notified the parliament that two suspects have been arrested and murder case has been lodged against them based on the complaint of the victim’s family.
The Home Minister informed that a team led by Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) DSP has initiated further investigation into the case. He said the local administration has been directed to adopt precaution to avert the repetition of such incidents in the future.
He blamed the unregulated consumption of alcohol and drug smuggling for such incidents. He also said the consumption of alcohol has increased domestic and sexual violence.
The government should take stern steps and launch a campaign to control alcohol in order to curb such activities, Home Minister Thapa said.
