2 held for abducting 11-yr-old boy from Kandaghari (Update)

Two persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in abducting 11-year-old Nishan Khadka. Khadka was kidnapped from Kataghari on Sunday evening.

A team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD) claimed that the duo were arrested from Sano Thimi area. Whereabouts of the child is still unknown.

A joint team from the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and MPCD intensified a search operation soon after Khadka was abducted from near his rented room yesterday.

Khadka, a permanent resident of Melamchi, Sindhupalchok, used to live with his mother. His father is in Malaysia for employment.

Khadka’s mother started searching for him after he did not return home till late evening.

The abductors had demanded ransom for the first time at around 9 pm.

According to the information provided by SSP Bishwo Raj Pokharel of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, the abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 4 million from Khadka’s parents.

11-year-old boy abducted from Kadaghari

An 11-year-old boy was abducted from Kadaghari of Kathmandu on Sunday.

Police said that Nisan Khadka was abducted from near his house yesterday evening.

According to the information provided by SSP Bishwo Raj Pokharal of the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, the abductors have demanded a ransom of Rs 4 million from Khadka’s parents on Monday morning.

Police said that they are looking into the case.
