Customary notice pasted at Nur Prasad Adhikari’s house

A customary notice of summons has been pasted at the house of Nur Prasad Adhikari, the petitioner of the 2004 Krishna Prasad Adhikari’s murder case, at Chamati village in Gandaki Rural Municipality-3, Gorkha on Wednesday.
Gorkha District Court official Govinda Acharya said they pasted the notice at the house of Nur Prasad as there was no one in the house.
The Chitwan District Court on August 20 had summonedNur Prasad before the court to record his statement, said Acharya. The notification has also been sent to ward chairman’s office, he said.
Nanda Prasad Adhikari, father of Nur Prasad, had filed a complaint against some people after his younger son Krishna Prasad was abducted and murdered on June 6, 2004.
One-and-a-half year later, Nur Prasad had appealed to the authorities for justice, holding 13 individuals responsible for killing his brother.
Nur Prasad disappeared since his father died while on hunger strike, demanding the arrest of his other son's killers, at Bir Hospital in the Capital on September 22, 2014.
Earlier on Sunday, a police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD), based on the request of his mother Ganga Maya Adhikari to find his whereabouts, found Nur Prasad fromhis rented room in Sanepa, Lalitpur.He had not been in touch with his mother for the past four years.
Ganga Maya, who staged several rounds of hunger strike seeking justice for the murder of her son Krishna Prasad Adhikari, had recently ended her hunger strike following an agreement with the government.
Earlier on July 24, the government had given Rs 10 million to Ganga Maya as a relief.
