A one-day literary fest, Ghumti Sahitya Utsav, featuring authors in the likes of Madan Krishna Shrestha, Yug Pathak, Shivani Singh Tharu and Nayan Raj Pandey, along with local writers, is slated to engage Pokhara’s literature aficionados this Saturday, Aug 18.

Organised by publishers, Fineprint, the upcoming event is the second-leg of a literary event which previously travelled to Surkhet, Dhangadi and Kohalpur.

Alongside the literary meet-up, a concert featuring Madan Krishna Shrestha and the Kandara Band is also set to serenade the audience.

“Events like this help us to explore the tastes of our readers and also help us to come to terms with our own  potential and limitations,” said Shivani Singh Tharu, a member of the travelling authors, whose debut novel Kathmandu ma Ek Din came out in April this year.
