APF head constable among 3 held with stolen jeep
Three persons including a head constable of Armed Police Force (APF) were arrested on the charge of stealing a Scorpio Jeep from Sunwal in Parsa. The suspects have been identified as head constable Thakur Prasad Chaudhary stationed at West Nawalparasi-26 Batallion in Belaspur, JanakiBaral of Belbas, Butwan Sub-Metropolitan City-13 and DilipBohara of Sainamaina Municiaplity-3.
According to SP Rajendra Prasad Bhatta of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi, head constable Chaudhary, a permanent resident of Paldanda, Bardaghar Municipality-5, West Nawalparasi, was arrested with the stolen jeep from his house.
Police had started investigation by scouring every motor garage of Butwal, Nawalaparasi and Nepal-India broder in guise of customers.
When a policeman had reached a motor garage at Sainamainain search of the vehicle, Dilip Bohara told him that he had a Scorpio Jeep. Bohara along with the policeman reached the Bardaghat-based Chaudhary’s house on the pretext of checking the condition of the vehicle.
When Chaudhary failed to sell the vehicle in a span of one week, he replaced the Nepali registration number plate with the Indian and also made a fake Indian bluebook.
He was planning to sell the vehicle in the Indian marked by changing the number plate and making fake bluebook.
Police said that they are looking into the case.
