Nepathya is slated to return to the O2 Academy Brixton in London (after three years) for a live performance on September. The band members claim that they have something new to share with their fans, which they won’t reveal to us yet but if we had to bet, it’s probably a new song or a couple.
“Like always, we’ll carry the messages of love and hope from Nepal to the UK. Along with the songs we have been performing, we will also perform something fresh for the UK audience.” Amrit Gurung of Nepathya said.
This concert comes following their very successful shows at Dallas and Boston in the US and Tokyo in Japan, which took place earlier this year.
Their 2015 concert coincided with the 200-years-celebration of Britain-Nepal relationship and proved to be a great occasion with a massive turnout of fans. Nepathya has a solid fan-base in the UK, most of which comprises of Nepali British Gurkha soldiers, Gurkha families, and Nepali students. The city, with a growing Nepali Diaspora, has always welcomed the band with open arms.
The band members are specifically excited to perform at O2 Brixton again because it is a reputed venue in London, where artists like Bob Dylon, Eric Clapton, Madonna, Iron Maiden, and Sex Pistol have performed in the past.
Amrit will be accompanied on stage by Dhruba Lama on drums, Surak Thapa on Keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on Guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on Madal.
The concert is slated to take place at the O2 Brixton on Sept 1.
