Problems faced by migrant Nepalis in India will be resolved soon: Dahal

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the problems faced by migrant Nepalis for decades in India would be resolved in no time if the recent development in Nepal-India relations could be tapped.
Dahal, who is on a three-day official visit to India, said so amid a programme organised at New Delhi-based Nepali Embassy on Thursday, while responding to problems shared by representatives of Nepali organisations based in India.
The representatives urged Dahal to facilitate in resolving the problems faced by Nepalis in India including opening of bank account, labour security, looting at Nepal-India borders among others.
“Migrant Nepalis are facing a lot of problems and even though all those cannot be solved at once. However, both the nations are serious about putting to good use the recent development in the relationship,” said Dahal.
Leader Dahal, who is also a former Prime Minister, further said that he discussed the issue with India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval during yesterday’s dinner meet adding that he will take up the issue in his meeting with Indian Home Minister Raj Nath Singh on Friday and also in the meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Saturday.
